Water Filter Installs

Central Texas water is hard, and most people find out the expensive way through their fixtures and their water heater. A filter is the cheapest plumbing you will ever buy.

  • Whole-house or under-sink install: $400 labor plus the drive. Same price whether the filter comes from us at cost or you already have one sitting in the garage.
  • Bring your own system. Ordered something online already? Good. We will put it in correctly and you paid retail on exactly nothing.
  • Installed to be serviced. We put a bypass and unions on it so you can change your own cartridges later instead of calling a plumber every six months.
  • Straight talk on what you need. If a sediment filter solves your problem, we are not going to sell you a softener.

Straight Answers

What does the drive fee actually cost me?

One dollar per mile from our shop in Killeen, counted one way, not round trip. Harker Heights runs about eight dollars. Temple is around twenty five. Austin is about sixty. You can do that math yourself before you call, which is the point.

Are parts included in these prices?

No, and we would rather say so plainly. Every price on this page is labor. You can buy the toilet, faucet, or filter yourself, or we pick it up and you pay what we paid. No markup on parts.

What if the job turns out bigger than the menu item?

We tell you before we start, not after. If a shower valve turns into opening tile, you get the number for that work and you decide.

Do you charge extra for evenings or weekends?

Call and ask. We would rather quote your actual situation than post a surcharge we may not need to charge you.

Do you install a water filter I bought myself?

Yes. Labor is the same four hundred whether the filter came from us or from your garage. Bringing your own is often the cheapest way to do it.

How do I know the price will not change when you show up?

The menu item and the mileage are the quote. The only things that move it are parts you approve and extra work you approve.
